Welcome Back, Emma!

Since April, Emma had been very busy making plans for her quick Asian Tour. She told me that she wants to see us all, referring to our batch mates in Siena... I did all I can to get all the contact numbers of our batchmates, texted them about the forthcoming get together in welcoming Emma... I texted around 20 people, half of them acknowledged, but never confirmed... Anyways, come June 29th, again, I texted every single girl I know who belonged to our batch, reminded them about the night's get together... 2 persons confirmed...

Well I guess I just have to accept the fact that not all people are SMART enough to acknowledge, confirm, reply, respond, or even just say NO... Sorry guys... alam ko you're cursing me right now...

Here are the people who spent the little time thay had with Emma...

I was surprised to find out that Emma did prepare a little something for everyone... She even bought expensive stuff for our "Raffle"... She revealed to us that she planned on sharing her blessings to us by preparing a Raffle for all of us who attends the "get together"... There were a couple of Sony Vaio laptops, Wii Nintendo, MAC make up, L'Occitane Shower Gel and Soap, Dolls, Toys, Blouses and shirts... Too bad (for the absentees only) didn't get to join the raffle... We decided to just get what we wanted and Emma unselfishly gave the stuff to us... How generous of you, Emma...

Thank you so much...

Dark Prophecy

I am not a believer of Dark Prophecies and/or Predictions. But this Brazilian vocational school teacher,

his predictions are unusually accurate...

So Excited...

In a few minutes, my sister and her family will be arriving Manila from Las Vegas... Last night, at 12 midnight, I stopped the DVD player and slept... But at around 2:21am, I woke up, startled, and thought it was already 4am, Paolo and PG would be late at the airport, picking up the Balikbayans... Marnie called PAL and was informed that the flight went ahead of schedule and will be landing 30 minutes before the ETA... Well that's rare and good...

So now, I am here writing/typing my journal at 3:56am, waiting for my sister's text...

Well, most of you know already that my son's celebrating his 1st Birthday on Sunday, and will be Baptized as well... I had everything prepared (I think) already, and now, it's time to prepare myself...

I had a very interesting day... I had my manicure and pedicure done, my lashes extended and my ears (vacuum) cleaned... Plus, I was visited by my thoughtful friend Patty, if not for her, I wouldn't have this picture taken... Thanks Patty B!!!

Well, if you are eating, postpone reading this entry first and then come back later after you have digested everything and have burped...

Anyways, have you ever tried the "ear cleaning" thing??? Where they burn a rolled cone-shaped paper placed near the ear opening??? Oh my gawd... It is so good... It was my first time actually, and a friend of mine (Kulasann) taught me about Nail Care... I actually have sinusitis, and it causes my ears to get itchy... She said that ear cleaning would be helpful for me since I generate ear wax more often than normal people because I have Sinusitis... So, I went there, and was really amazed by how the thing worked... Somehow the heat coming from the paper acts as the vacuum and scoops all the planted wax on my ears... After the procedure, the attendant showed me the paper and boy was I shocked!!! It measured more than a half inch long, and about 3mm diameter - each ear... It felt as if a tube was released from my ears...

I didn't feel anything at first... But as the procedure went on, I started to hear sparks, as if something is inside my ear, and I felt a little air pressure inside... It's as if I am on a plane flying on high altitude, but this one's not that irritating...

I told myself to do that at least 2 times a year...

Nail Care is located in Shaw Boulevard, Babyland building... I must say that the attendants at Nail Care are very accommodating... They work really fast... My eye lashes were done in 30 minutes... And I am very happy with the results! The only thing that I didn't like about it is the smell of, I think "lacquer" from the nail polish or something they use for the nails... The smell was really strong and pungent, my friend Patty almost got "high"...

My Week-long Birthday - Day 4

I know, this post is kinda way behind... But I'd still post it anyway... It's for me when I grow old and gray, and for my children's children to see... I just hope that Multiply is still functioning by that time...

Since I planned on having a "happy" birthday this time, I was quite disappointed with the way it turned out... Some of you already know what happened... Well actually, what happened is something I shouldn't be blogging about... Simply because it is work related... But I decided to tell you a little something of what made me very sad on my birthday...

I met an auditor... He works at a big manufacturing company, known worldwide, and we are being audited to become one of its suppliers... He is a short, dark, insensitive, conceited, boastful, trying hard, obnoxious, in short, an ugly man - inside and out... He has a problem in pronouncing F and P, V and B, and since the time he arrived at the office, he kept on looking for problems he could raise so that we could beg for him to help us... For the last 2 months, our company has been audited by several "giant" companies, and never did I encounter an audit as awful as this... In our case, since we are just a small company, our audits usually takes 6 to 7 hours, but this one, oh my gosh... it wouldn't have ended had I not walked out of the conference room due to too much humiliation... I told him it was the worst audit I encountered, and the worst birthday I've ever had...

So that's just it... I can't fill you more details because he might be one of my readers and would just feel "guwapo" when he reads he's one of my fantasies, nyakkkk!!! you short ----head!!!

That was the reason why I failed to blog about my birthday celebrations... He was even in my dreams, for crying out loud!!!

Hayyyyy.... Anyway, that night, as I walked out of the room, I was welcomed by Paolo, and he looked very excited as he has plans of treating us that night... He wanted our mom and dad to come with us, and PG and Marnie as well... But unfortunately, all of us had a really long day and just wanted to rest...

As for me, I told myself I shouldn't let that ----head ruin my birthday... So off we went to Zensho... Yes, my hubby's a cheapo... But that's just what I wanted that day... Just someone to give me TLC... And all I wanted, was him to be - just, there...

So, here we were... at Zensho... trying to have a happy birthday...

My Week-long Birthday - Day 3

Day 3 was spent with my new found friends, Brenda, Janis, and Patty... Met them all through Multiply, they have been my YM friends since then... We managed to chat once a day, and see each other at least once a month, exchanging thoughts of what was happening about, ummm, everything... From celebrities, to signature bags, to hair care, to ingrown nails... I must say, that these are the people who I can talk to with much candor...

Agenda:

5:30 pm - meet at Zara, Rockwell
6:00 pm - dinner at Pepper Lunch
7:30 pm - watch SATC
10:00 pm - coffee at Starbucks
12:00 pm - adjourn

A month ago, while we were planning for this, we've talked about watching the movie... Then I noticed that perhaps, we all do resemble the SATC Girls' personalities, (definitely not the looks), Which were all agreed by them...

Janis - Charlotte (secretive, a true friend, loves shopping)
Jin - Samantha (sex guru or someone who is addicted to sex) "joke"
Patty - Miranda (girl in a corporate world, sensible and deep)
Brenda - Carrie (petite, enjoys men but chooses to be with her one and only)

I am giving you the authority to laugh at us this time.... Anyway, this is just for fun... And I enjoyed spending my birthday with my "pretend" SATC girlfriends...

If you're wondering, where Marnie is, why isn't she in the pic??? Well, first of all, SATC girls are only 4... So she can choose, whether, she will be Stanford (Carrie's gay friend played by Willie Garson), or just somewhere behind the camera to take our pictures... She chose the latter...

All of us at Pepper Lunch

One last pose before the movie starts

Movie ended around 10:00pm and we headed off to Starbucks with swollen eyes due to the uncontrollable eruption of our tear ducts...

After 2 hours of beautiful and exciting conversation, again, about everything,
the girls surprised me with a mini-cake to welcome my birthday...

Thank you so much Girls... It has been a lovely and touching
Birthday experience...

My Week-long Birthday - Day 2

Tuesday was set to be with my Coffee Friends...
I know they love Filipino Food, so I brought them to
Bangus. I believe they serve the best Crispy Pata, evarrrr!

These are the people who I depend on when it comes to events, fine dining restaurants, trip planning, and relaxation...

We all enjoy spending weeknights over coffee and talk about everything under the moonlit night...

They unselfishly lend their hands for the upcoming
birthday of Fonzie, insisting on helping me on the day itself...

I am such a lucky girl... Thanks for everything,

My Week-long Birthday

I have been an unselfish mother (I believed so) for the past 6 years... Meaning, I never celebrated my birthday extravagantly since I got pregnant with my first baby... I've always thought that birthday parties and celebrations are for kids. And that my birthday would be complete by just being with my family... Last year, I noticed that I felt so lonely during my birthday. I didn't even go out with my friends and family on the day itself... Co-incidentally, Paolo was stuck in the office of his client, that he wasn't able to join me for dinner (what's new)... Anyway, after that sad, sad birthday, I swore to myself that, from then on, I will be celebrating my birthday with my family, relatives, and friends, even though I know I'd be breaking my piggy bank...

This week, I planned on celebrating 5 weekdays with my closest relatives and friends.

I started my Birthday Week (Monday) with my cousins from the Portuguese Kingdom...

We had dinner at Choi Garden...

A night filled with laughter, gossips, latest in fashion, hollywood, local celebs, and sex...

These are the people who helped me in many different ways... They know my strength and weaknesses...

They all know it, I love them dearly...

That is why I chose to start my
celebration with them...

Thank you guys for everything...

Super Pissed!

My baby's Baptismal is on June, will be celebrating his birthday and Baptismal at the same time... I booked the church as early as September last year because when I called them, they said they'd be open for booking for the month of June Baptismal as early as September... So I carefully filled up their form and chose 2:15pm for the schedule of the rites.

A few minutes earlier, I decided to call the church and re-confirm my booking. Since my booking was done way, way before, I just had to have the peace of mind that everything is in proper order... Now, guess what?! The girl who answered the phone said, ma'am, yes, your schedule is at 3:45pm!!! I think you all know by now what my reaction was when I heard her... Na high blood talaga ako!!!

Anyways, I told her my receipt says 2:15pm and I clearly wrote that on the application form... Then she said, no ma'am, your application form is full of erasures!!! Oh crap... Why would I erase it whereas the only time alloted for baptism is 2:15 and 3:45? Knowing that my party starts at 3pm??? I nearly shouted at her when she kept on insisting that I was the one who wrote 3:45pm... My receipt was handwritten, signed by Joan, and she is the one I was talking to... I told her, you changed my schedule without telling me, now you have to give me back my original time because all invitations were sent already and I have a party at 3:00, bitch! Then I began to realize, the girl works at the House of God.... so the bitch part was just what I wanted to say but did not...

So now, she promised to call me as soon as she talks to the priest and have me re-sked at 2:00pm...

Now, I am waiting...
