Camel for Fall

I have always loved the camel color.  Not so bright, but not so dull...  And when paired with black, its subtlety becomes way too fashionable that it is sooo right to wear metallics to match it off...

This Fall 2010, we will be seeing lots of Camels and Blacks...  And according to Rachel Zoe, when she scanned the runways, she fell in love with Salvatore Ferragamo's traditional camel cape coat...

 And from Chloe,

 And from Alexander Wang,

And from Prada,

Camel and Tan is perfect for dresses and skirts too...

 And trousers...

Such gorgeous camels!!!

At H & M, you can also find camels, browns, and blacks.
Which I find very reasonable and of course, fashionable!

Because of this, I got myself an Old Navy (online shopping again) camel/beige/tan cords blazer,
which I think I can wear both here in Manila and in the US.

 Excited!!!

The CW Upfront 2009

No gowns this time...

The Gossip Girl cast looked so hot.... Or maybe, Summery and Sexy...

I like Blake's revealing jumpsuit... She looked so sexy and the color looks good on her...

Leighton surely pulled off this masculine suit with black shorts and sexy pumps!!!

Jessica Szohr looked comfy and sophisticated with this colored assymetrical dress...

Taylor dressed up like her character lil' Jenny but I think she looked a little mature with this ensemble... I don't know, probably her lipstick???

These two gentlemen really sizzled the list... They're the hottest!!!

SATC The Movie

I can still remember how glad I felt when I accidentally tuned in to HBO and saw Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City looking so fab in the streets of New York... I remembered the tv show "Square Pegs"...

It was one of my favorite shows when I was, I think, 12??? Yes, I was 12, just checked on the site, and it was shown in 1982, and yes, I'm old...

Now, you can just imagine how excited I am to see SATC The Movie. Here's a glimpse of the next blockbuster...

This is how they'd look like in the movie...

SJP shares a laugh with Willie Garson, who plays her friend Stanford Blatch

A pregnant Kristin Davis with Mr. Big on her side

Director Michael Patrick King and SJP, look at those shoes...

A crowd gathers on Fifth Ave. hoping to catch a glimpse of the filming.

Jeezzz, can't wait!!! This reminds me of how many people on "Friendster" claim that SATC's their favorite TV show, whereas they type "Sex In The City"... huhhh???

The Tory Logo

Nowadays, I am attracted to the Tory Burch logo. I don't know why, but I like it's style, and the way it stands out in the center of a piece of clothing. For me, I think, it's subtle, yet, dramatic...

Just like this...

You know what I mean??? Ain't this Lola Dress a beauty??? But I'm pretty sure, tons of girdles should be worn under this knit dress to hide the flaws... Unless, you're Carla Sibal, of course!

Tory Burch says that, "The color palette for Fall is made up of neutrals such as grey, camel, brown and navy offset by vivid shots of color including lipstick red, mustard, aubergine and teal." She made the fall colors blend perfectly together to get the perfect "Fall look".

I'm dying to get one of these patent bags. I'd probably get the white one. Black is too dull, I have too many Reds, Orange is well, not me... so I guess I'm left with only one option...

"Patent, animal print and metallic leather make a
bold statement in both handbags and shoes." - Tory Burch

"The Tory Burch Fall collection brings an eclectic American sensibility to the effortlessly chic style of French women of the sixties such as Catherine Deneuve, Anouk Aimee, Francoise Hardy and Jane Birkin. The look of fall is distinctly feminine with a touch of tomboy."

"The Catherine Deneuve movie,
‘The Umbrellas of Sherbourg,’ is evoked in chic outerwear, from stylish trenches and
pea coats to a slick black patent coat with fur cuffs. Long sweater coats with patent
detailing and toggle closures are essential and cardigans range from simple wool with
gold buttons to cashmere with leather patches." - Tory Burch

"Tory Burch is a lifestyle collection of sportswear and accessories for women,
which embodies the personal style and spirit of its founder and creative director,
Tory Burch. Perceiving a void in the market for a sophisticated American aesthetic
at an accessible price point, Ms. Burch wanted to create stylish yet wearable
clothing and accessories for women of all ages.

Now, here's a tip for us "stylish" people:

"The Tory Burch collection provides an original look for the style-conscious
woman who might be aware of the trends but does not rely on them."

Shopping Bags

We are now going towards the Green Earth/Save the Planet Movement... Shoppers are encouraged to use reusable shopping bags so came the:

Louis Vuitton Braided Bag

and the

Anya Hindmarch's I'm Not A Plastic Bag

I remember when I bought 2 loaves of wheat bread at Le Coure De France, I was told that the next time I buy, I should bring my own plastic bag, or basket, or container, or wherever I want to put the bread, because they are now selling their Le Coure plastic bags/pouches... They said that, to promote the "save the planet" movement, they're selling the bags just to encourage customers to use reusable/washable bags... I think it is a great move... A little risky, but Filipino people will learn... They will soon accept... It will just take a while...

Here are some other cute shopping bags...

Ain't that Chic???

Can't Wait!!!

My sister's in Paris right now... I'm dying with envy... Even before she left Manila, I was already sourgraping, thinking how many people I know leaving the country for a long vacation. Maybe my sourgrape acting totally affected my sis, she bought me this...

Actually, I wanted a white one, but look at this...

It looks so pale... I used to see White Goyards with racing stripes to make it a little bit attractive. It's only now that I've seen one without stripes, so I thought it was too pale for me... So I asked her to have it changed for a red one since I love flashy colors and attractive designs...

Personalized stripes or crowns and initials can be made by Goyard but it will take 2 months, plus additional fee for the paint and shipping fee. So I might as well take the flashy red one instead...

My sis had hers printed so she will be leaving Paris without her loot!!! She'll have to wait for 2 months to get them...

I believe many people don't like Goyard... Some say it's too ordinary, or it's not as "well-known" as Louis Vuitton... But that's what I love about it!!! I prefer unique designs, high quality, ever-reliable bags... The St. Louis Goyard has water proof leather that is really a necessity here in Manila... That's why I don't care if some people don't get it... And besides, I don't have much moolah to buy too many LV's... They're way too expensive, and I noticed that too many Asians wear them... LV has become one of the richest company on Earth and I'd like to make other designers rich too, hehehe...
