My Balmshell

Remember when I posted The Red Carpet Ready, where I featured the Balmshell Lipgloss??? Well, actually, a day or two after I posted the blog, I received an email from Jenny and Fiona Lees, the creators of the Balmshell, informing me that they were happy with my article, and thought of sending one to me... I was soooo super, duper ecstatic upon reading that email and I was literally shivering with excitement when I gave them my mailing address... I never thought it would happen to me... I never expected anything in return in writing a blog... I just thought, hey, it's really nice to document and share my insights, feelings, opinions, and blahhhs to everyone...

So finally, the Balmshell reached my home safely, untouched!!!

I swear, I tried it as soon as it landed on my hands!!! And here's the result... (Sorry for the blurry picture)

I actually love it... It glides smoothly, the color blends with my lip color and skintone, plus, more important, it didn't dry my lips, which is my major problem every time I buy lipgloss and lipsticks...

Thanks again Jenny and Fiona!!! And Congratulations to Balmshell, I'm sure they're selling like pancakes right now...

Family Day at Fun Ranch

Last Sunday, I promised my daughter Cassie that I'd take her anywhere she wants... She asked if we could go to Power Station so she could play the Love and Berry Video Game. So we went first to Shangrila Mall so I could also do some window shopping and see what's new... Actually, nada!!! Heehee... Nothing's new... I just bought a pair of leggings from Gingersnaps, and that's it... At around 5pm, I thought of Fun Ranch... I saw it on tv a few weeks ago, and thought it would be a treat for my kid, so we decided to check the place out... I really wanted to see the place late afternoon to avoid the scorching heat... Actually, it looked attractive from the outside...

5pm is surely the best time to be there... No entrance fee...

Cold mists were installed to provide a little cool comfort;

Food kiosks are everywhere, Hotdogs, Shawarma, Crepes, French Fries, Ice Cream, Cotton Candy, Candy Corner, Waffle, Milo Shakes, etc., plus restaurants like Mongkok (soon to open), Teriyaki Boy, The Big Red Barn, and Pomodoro...

There are only 2 kiddie rides presently operating, the ferris wheel and the boat that swings left and right, to and fro, (sorry, don't know what it's called). What's nice about these rides is that you pay only P50.00 for both the kid and the companion.

There are plenty of kiddie cars, also at P50.00 for ten minutes... (which can be extended if you asked the attendants politely)

Cassie loved playing at the Giant Inflatable Castle... Also P50.00 for 10 minutes...

We had dinner at The Big Red Barn... Cassie loves chicken... But unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed with the food... Too much chicken breading... They're not so special... Maybe next time we'll just eat at Teriyaki Boy...

After dinner, we checked out the Indoor Playground...
Woah... it's huge...

Loved the air-conditioning here...
Cassie played for an hour, at P140.00, quite reasonable I think... We just stayed there comfortably, watched her, ate some popcorn...

She thanked me for having the time of her life... She said we should visit Fun Ranch every Sunday from now on... awwww... big problem.... heeheehee...

Coke For Skincare, Anyone???

Coca-Cola is developing a drink in conjunction with L'Oréal, the cosmetics giant, that could sit on boutique department store shelves alongside beauty products rather than in fridges and drinks machines.

The makers of Lumaé, a tea-based drink, say it contains ingredients that will help women care for their skin. It will be marketed and distributed as a beauty brand rather than a soft drink.Lumaé is aimed at "active and image-conscious" women above the age of 25 who embrace the latest in health and beauty products. So Coke is exploring the possibilities of distributing Lumaé in trendy designer boutiques such as Saks Fifth Avenue as opposed to its usual venues such as 7-Eleven.

Hmmmm, interesting... This is set to be launched in 2008, well, let's see...

The Cheapest Designer Bag

Anya Hindmarch's new campaign which was first launched in the UK is finally hitting the US this coming June...

It is against the use of plastic in making bags... An environmental friendly campaign for bag addicts. What's nice about this is, it is unbelievably affordable. For $15.00, you can own an Anya Hindmarch designer bag, and can help support the movement at the same time. Isn't it fantabulous??? Just click on here for details and more info...

Can't Wait!!!

My sister's in Paris right now... I'm dying with envy... Even before she left Manila, I was already sourgraping, thinking how many people I know leaving the country for a long vacation. Maybe my sourgrape acting totally affected my sis, she bought me this...

Actually, I wanted a white one, but look at this...

It looks so pale... I used to see White Goyards with racing stripes to make it a little bit attractive. It's only now that I've seen one without stripes, so I thought it was too pale for me... So I asked her to have it changed for a red one since I love flashy colors and attractive designs...

Personalized stripes or crowns and initials can be made by Goyard but it will take 2 months, plus additional fee for the paint and shipping fee. So I might as well take the flashy red one instead...

My sis had hers printed so she will be leaving Paris without her loot!!! She'll have to wait for 2 months to get them...

I believe many people don't like Goyard... Some say it's too ordinary, or it's not as "well-known" as Louis Vuitton... But that's what I love about it!!! I prefer unique designs, high quality, ever-reliable bags... The St. Louis Goyard has water proof leather that is really a necessity here in Manila... That's why I don't care if some people don't get it... And besides, I don't have much moolah to buy too many LV's... They're way too expensive, and I noticed that too many Asians wear them... LV has become one of the richest company on Earth and I'd like to make other designers rich too, hehehe...

Breath (Bad) Be Gone

I don't know if you guys are familiar with this new thing... It's a gadget that could kill bacteria present in the mouth... Sorry if I sound gross, or icky, but hey, come to think of it, they're there! We couldn't do anything to stop them from breeding. Some of my friends swear that this stuff really works. So, I'm buying one real soon...

You just have to put the zilopop thingie inside your mouth for 2 minutes, and voila! They're dead!!!

This thing is advisable for smokers too... It removes the nicotine/tar flavor that's left in the mouth after you lit a cigarette...

This stuff, in case given to you by a friend, please don't get offended... It doesn't mean that you are unclean, or unsanitary, or worst, you have bad breath... I think that everybody has bacteria in their mouth and everyone needs this... Plus, it's not that expensive, and it lasts forever... You just have to have your own set huh!!!

You can check them out at FRESH, located at #5 Sgt. Esguerra Street, corner Timog Avenue, Q.C.
