Something For My Man

I want to make my man look presentable and updated this season... Who doesn't, eh???
Well, She Finds helped me and here's what I'm gonna get for ma' man...

1. I'll get him a nice blazer...

He could wear this during night out with friends. Just put it on top of his clothing and he will eventually look stylish and presentable...

2. I'd buy a new shirt like this...

Shirts are headed in the direction of tailored cuts, subdued colors, and thin monochromatic stripes or other refined patterns. Gone are the big floral prints, dahlings!!!

3. I'd get him a new pair of Dark Denim

Dark denim with a narrow leg - something he can wear to work, to shop, to play,
or to party...

How about you guys, do you plan on giving "him" something this season???

My Christmas Tree

This year, I've put up a Red Christmas Tree... I used to put combinations of red and gold, silver and red, white and silver, etc... But this time, it's only Red...

I love wrapping gifts... I don't know, for some people, it really is tiring,
but for me, I look forward to wrapping all the gifts during Christmas...
I even ask my sisters to allow me to wrap their gifts...

Purple and Silver... Yes, I got the idea from Martha Stewart...
I think it may look dull, so to make it look more Christmassy,
I've added small ornaments and attached them to the ribbons...

This is the first batch of the five batches...
Whoah... still bundles and bundles of moolah needed...

Patti Wedge

At last! My first Tory Burch has arrived...

I've always loved its logo...

The Tory Burch
Holiday Collection
Patti Wedge in
Silver and Gold

I didn't get the ballet flats because I can't wear them! Again... Because, I am too short... Do I have to explain it over again??? Hehehehe... Oh well... I've learned to accept that actually... And it ain't a big deal anymore...

Anyway, the first time I saw this at Tory Burch's website, I said to myself that I'm getting one... I remember blogging about that a few months ago... So here it is...
I got the silver, and my sister, who really has no self control in
shopping, obviously had to get two!!!

Another friend of ours, JQ, got the silver one but is really, really dying to get the gold...
Sorry, no more size 7... Oh, too bad... Probably on the next shipment, J!!!

They're really light and comfy... I'm so excited to wear them!!!

Green Holiday

I'm enjoying my Christmas shopping... I always bring with me my huge Green Bags wherever I go... Actually, one isn't enough... Had to bring 3 or more when shopping... Having a large family like mine, I have no choice but to give each and every member a little Christmas thought... It has been the family tradition to open gifts right after our "Noche Buena" on Christmas Eve. My favorite shopping bag is the one from Healthy Options... Holds alot, I tell ya!!! But I'm having problems with this bag... Promise not to laugh guys... You see, I am short... Super, duper short... So when I hold this bag, filled or empty, the bottom part slides on the floor and tends to sweep the whole ground!!! Jeeezzz... So I always ask my DH to hold it for me... I got to have my own shopping bag... Something that's a little proportion with my height... Then, I remember this... Mrs. T gave me a Harrod's Shopping Bag last Christmas...

I kept it inside the closet for such a long time and totally forgot all about it... Good thing I ran into it while I was cleaning my stuff... It looks so chic... I'm excited to use it... And I'm sure I won't be having problems this time...

Oh, and this one, I like...

Lose the plastic! An exclusive collaboration between the NYC Mayor's office and Barneys New York. Bring it to the grocery store, the farmer’s market, the bookstore, or the beach. You can feel good about this purchase! 20" x 18" x 7". Made in U.S.A. Untreated, undyed cotton canvas. Barneys New York will donate $10 from the sale of each bag to the City of New York to plant trees in public parks.

I'm just wondering... When will this Go Green Bag Bug stop BUGGING me???

My Cuz's Christmas Tree

Yearly, I help my cousin decorate her house... She agrees with me wholeheartedly because she doesn't know anything about home decor... Her house is more on the "modern" side, so I can't put too much christmas decors... Because most of the christmas decors shouts "country", and definitely doesn't meet the house's interior... Don't want to ruin the look... So this time, I had to settle with just a tree and minor ornaments in the dining hall to make it look a little "christmassy"...

Since my cousin got her first Hermes this year, I decided to put on Orange and Gold trimmings... So I call this, an Hermes inspired Christmas Tree... Teehee...

The Formal Dining Area

After putting up the decors, I had to go out and stare at their Koi Pond...
The calm sound of water running behind those windows were inviting...

Other Kois are a little, "camera shy", they hid under those rocks...

Sigh... Wish I could take the pond home...

My Yearly Planner

My ever generous sister told me that she's giving me a new planner this year... Yup, she's the one who supplies me with Starbucks Planner yearly... I think the one I'm currently using is her third supply... Lucky me eh... Well, it is because she and her hubby frequents Starbucks that much that they had to give away all the planners (as well as blood sugar count) they acquired...

She emailed me this morning and gave me a glimpse of what is going to be my next year's diary... And here it is....

Oh my, it looks gorgeous... My pen and itching fingers are thirsty
to write on those new and untouched pages...

Angel said that Belle de Jour is the Fashionista's Planner... A French "It" Girl's Diary... Oh wow... Can't wait to see it, feel it, and write on it...

Food Blogging

I recently had a dinner with some people from the blogging world... They all love taking pictures of what we're going to eat... Of course, as a blogger, I know many of us do want to take pictures of beautifully served platters of hors d'oeuvres, sumptuous meals, and delectable desserts... But do we also know that we might annoy people around us??? Here are some tips on how to be a food blogger without being a nuisance to other diners...

1. Be respectful. Overeager photographers can be as annoying as a ringing cell phone. Your fellow diners want to enjoy their meals, too, and the sight of you adjusting your white balance can be distracting. And don't take their picture without asking.

2. Don't disrupt your meal. You're there to eat. Don't make your friends wait while you fiddle with the focus.

3. Be discreet. If snapping photos of your food seems too obvious, intersperse themwith shots of your dining companions. Keep the camera tucked out of sight, not on the table. Use the smallest digital model possible or a camera phone.

4. Read the room. A romantic boite will be more intimate than dim sum, so adjust your
picture-taking to fit the mood. If your server asks you to stop, don't start an argument.

5. Steady the camera. A water or wineglass can do wonders.

6. Be quick. Otherwise your dishes will get cold.

7. No flash. Bloggers and managers agree a flash can be painfully intrusive. Plus, white plates reflect flash, and can make a photo look unappetizing.

There you go... I guess many of us do know these facts... But still, as Michael Bauer , the author of Between Meals, would say, "Most bloggers are mindful of the intrusion and are discreet, but others obviously aren't."

The Flower Is Back!

Remember what Carrie Bradshaw used to wear during her SATC days??? The flower on her neck? Or sometimes flower pins??? I was so into it that I did wear one during my ehem, younger years, i guess, 2001... This was my look then...

Eeeooowww...

Carrie's coming back, and so is the flower... But I ain't talking about the flower she used to don... I am talking about, big, humongous, uber, giant - Flower!!! Something like this...

Ugh... Only Carrie can pull this off...

Maybe i'll just settle for flower rings... Such as these...

And lastly, my favorite...

Coca Cola Bracelet

I hope someday I can find something like this here in Manila...

But I'd prefer crystals or beads instead of real diamonds...

Designer Amanda Jaron exhibits her sweet flair for Environmentalism... This creation of diamonds, freshwater pearls, 18K white gold and a green Coca Cola bottle is retailed for $1,375.

Love the concept...

And I love Coke...

Shopping Bags

I know, I know... Here I am again, talking about the green bags... Can't help it, I'm so into it... Don't know why... Just a few days ago, I went to Power Plant, and passed by Aranaz... I saw these...

Cute eh???

But they're kinda expensive for a shopping bag... Around P700.00 each, roughly, US$ 17.00, though it looks so chic, probably someday, I'll get one...

Then I passed by Healthy Options, wow, you have no idea how amazed I was when I saw their shopping bags! At P50.00 each, I grabbed one, and handed my Healthy Options card to the cashier... She said that I have P100.00 rebate, so I'm getting my shopping bag for free! Call me shallow, but I really got so high that I consumed all the remaining rebates and got 2 shopping bags!!!

Yeah, that was my DH carrying 2 durable shopping bags for my purchases... Bought some baby stuff for Fonzie and I enjoyed looking at my DH toting them!

Then I went to Rustan's for some more errands, then I found these!

I got one too, because it says that whenever I use those bags while in the grocery, I'll get double points for my Fresh! Rustans Card... Yipee!!!

Now, my problem left is how to put them stylishly on my doorstep so I won't forget them everytime I leave the house... I asked my hubby to put some hooks on the foyer so I could always see them before leaving...

I suggest you do the same... It really feels good doing a little part on saving the planet...
