Waiting In Vain

Hey... 'Been busy lately for the party preparations... Last Saturday, I went to the LOTF (Land of the Fakes), Greenhills... Actually, it's a one-stop-shop, you can find almost anything in that place... Maybe that's why it's always crowded, they got everything, from imported tops to cellphones to appliances to antique furniture... But we went there to look for costumes to wear, and stuff to use for the decor and some props for our games... good thing we didn't have a hard time looking for those... We spent around two hours looking around, finding what's new, but we only stayed at the Shoppesville area, we didn't have enough time to check on the Tiangge coz' we had to meet my BBIL who was craving for Filipino food. So we ate at Grilla, at the Promenade, and sorry BBIL, I didn't like everything we had... Teehee... I guess I'm really not into Filipino Food...

Then, we went to UCC to meet our friends MchC, TRV, MG, AIH, PDL and CCY... PDL is the one getting married in two weeks and she looked very beautiful... As corny as it sounds, I just have to say that, she's blooming!!! I am happy for my bestfriend...

We had the famous Banana Chocolate
French Toast! Now BBIL, this is food!!! Yummy.... Oh God, my tummy's rumblin'... I remember I haven't eaten dinner yet, and it's 11pm!!! Oh jeez... Can no longer eat, just have to forget about hunger... Teehee... Or else, I wouldn't fit in the "too cheap and too beautiful to let go" cocktail dress I found yesterday at Debenhams!!! And that's another story!

My BS (beloved sis!) picked me up Sunday around 1pm and I hadn't eaten breakfast yet.... Just had coffee... Anyway, we went to her second home, which is the Shangri-la Mall... First, we had to wait 30 minutes for a parking space... I didn't want to leave her alone waiting for a slot, so I just ignored the grumbling sounds I hear from the insides of my well being... So when God realized how long we have been suffering there in the parking lot, He finally granted us a nice parking space beside the elevators... We went directly to Goodies N' Sweets, one of our favorites, and my BS, a real chocoholic, had this! Cappuccino and Choco Lava!!! While I had this! Brunch at 3:00pm... Ouchhh... Feelin' the acid flowing like it's going to explode out of my intestines any minute!

Originally, my plan was to look for a cocktail dress for the wedding...
So we went to Debenhams, coz' honestly, that is the only place I know who sells and carries not only plus sizes shirts, pants, dresses, but also evening gown or formal wear as well.... Since I heard that the store's on sale, we really didn't have second thoughts of going... But look at this place!!! My gosh, I had'nt seen such a long cue since I went to the US Embassy!!!

Anyway, so we went to the formal wear area, and my eyes literally popped out when I saw this dark blue cocktail dress in my size!!!
My heart was literally pounding too fast!!! I hurriedly tried it on, and to my surprise, it looked good on me... I asked my BS to look for the price at the back of the dress and whoa!!!! It really is cheap!!! My gosh, they were not kidding when they said 70% off!!! So I told the manager to hold the dress for me, as I have no plans of waiting in line like that! I heard somebody say that she's been on that same spot waiting for 2 hours already!!! So, the kind manager was good enough to hold it for me and not display until closing time...

So after 3 hours, we came back... And to our surprise, the cue didn't get better... It got worse...

There were too many customers, too many items, and two cashiers... Golly... And mind you, each customer was carrying a basket tons of "steal" inside!!! I asked the manager again to hold the product for me until the next day, but she said that it really is not possible, since it is on SALE, they are not allowed to keep merchandise behind the selling area... They can only keep my dress until closing time... So I had thoughts of coming back the next day, but I figured out that it would be impossible for me to go back on a Monday, office day... So I had no choice... We waited... Thank God my BS really stood by me and kept me company while waiting in line... Burden time: 2 hours , no exaggeration here...

We had dinner at Cibo, too tired to take pictures of what we had, and too drained to talk... Imagine, we just ate and didn't even talk to each other!!! The long waiting was really agonizing... For me, it's better to walk 8 hours than stand in line for 2 hours, isn't it???

It's just that, the dress is too beautiful and too cheap to let go... I just had to make huge sacrifices for it to be mine!!! How 'bout you guys, would you do the same thing???

Warped In Art

Lately, I'm fascinated with Art... As in paintings, drawings, sculptures, poems, music, everything... It all started when my cousin BBC, gave me a 1.5 x 1.5 ft Ivan Acuna... Me and my DH were so overwhelmed that we were forced to extend our living room just to make this beautiful work of art fit in our home. See JCC? Look what you and your hubby did to us??? And now, we're officially broke!!!

The worse part is, I still have to buy more accents and furnitures for this extension... Currently, we're halfway complete, (jeez, halfway?!? does it ever end?) but the problem is, I can never stop this wanting and needing spasms!!! Especially when I window shop or browse fashion and home magazines, grrrrr!!!!

And then, here's another story: Last Thursday, on one of our typical weekly session nights, we were introduced to Artists: Federico Sievert and Grace De Jesus (married). OMG, Is this just coincidence or am I warped to the realm of Arts and Culture??? And I thought, whoa, this is going to be grrreatttt!!!
And bumpy!!! Muwahahahahha!!!!! I've learned that they were members of Sanggawa, and many of their works were sold in famous galleries in Manila and abroad. Saw their works, and again, don't even know where and how to pay, but I got one!!! I just thought that it would look great on my wall!!! So here it is... Forgive me for this dark, blurry shot, I used my 2 megapixel credit card sized camera and this is what I get... Anyway, don't ask the price (the painting) coz' it would just make matters worse...

Sigh... Change topic, It just gives me headaches thinking of where and how to buy cheap moolah!!! Teehee...

By the way, here's what we had
on our typical session night: Chicken and Shrimp Fetuccine Pesto, Samosas, Spring/Egg Rolls (care of BBF), sausages, and lotsa San Mig Light...

Last night, as I was up
cleaning my dresser, I noticed my favorite Eau De Cologne, Jo Malone Grapefruit and Rosemary Scent. My DH love it too... He said I smell rich! Muwahahaha!!! Does it mean matronic rich??? Teehee!!! Actually, the scent is undescribably and magically aromatic, makes the wearer exude confidence. Whenever I wear it, I always get asked what scent it is... Now, I am soooo sad coz' it's half empty... I don't know if it is sold here in Manila, and i'm sure it would be a lot expensive... I bought this one in Neiman Marcus, C.O.D. (care of Daddy) and I'm not so sure if I can buy another bottle out of my own pocket, oh pity me... Now, they've added new scents in their line and I can't help it! I can smell them just by looking at the picture!!! (Nectarine and Honey, and below, Orange Blossom, also my favorite) See??? Aren't they irresistible???

Today, it's Saturday, I'm planning to go malling (look only and see what's new) before I meet up for coffee with friends MchC, TrvC, MG, AIH, PDL, and her fiancee, CCY... We'll finalize the arrangements for the upcoming bridal shower...

'Be back later...

My Bestfriend's Shower!

August 12, 2006, Saturday, the most awaited day of my bestfriend... Finally, she's walking down the aisle... And I am very, super, ultra, hyper, mega, uber happy for her.... These past few days, i've been doing several arrangements for her shower party. I'm so excited coz' this is the first time we'll be doing this kind of a bridal shower... And I know many of her friends already gave her one but this one i'm giving, is definitely going to be the best she ever had and will ever have... I'm not giving you any clues yet coz' I know she's been reading my blogs... This is a surprise for her... So just to give you a little hint, see this!!!
Hey, PDL, I've known you more than half of my life, and you've stood me up several times
and i've forgiven you for that, but this time, uh-oh.... hell no!!! I will never ever forgive if you if you don't show up gurllll!!!! Ohhhkayyy?????

Hey, I know some of you already know who I am, how I start and end my day... I'm a "do it yourself" gurl.... I like doing things on my own, like making my own accessories, nourishing my hair with weekly treatments, doing my nails, giving myself a facial, cutting and coloring my hair, everything... So when I was browsing Harper's Bazaar this morning, I saw the ad of Garnier Color Breaks... It is for Solid toned hair, usually happens if a person applies a full dye. And that's me... I have a monotone, boring, light brown hair... We know how bad (at least for the pocket) it is to pay for a medium length highlights or lowlights... So, sometimes, I get this urge to do it myself... So this new product of Garnier, (I actually don't know if this is new) gives Multi-dimensional tones that breaks up Solid, Full, Colored, Treated Hair. In short, I can do highlight or lowlights all by myself without the hassle of, you know, using frosting caps, aluminum foils, and asking someone to do it for you... I soooo need it!!! This is one reason why I love America... They have tons of "do it yourself" things. Isn't It? I don't know if you guys are familiar with this round, small, disposable toothbrush thingie which you stick onto your fingers? I'm in love with it!!! It is so

handy, convenient, easy to use, and effective!!! I still got a few here, but in a few weeks, they would all be gone!!! So calling.... sister in vegas, do you hear me??? helllo???

Reading magazines sometimes give me headaches... I can't stop from needing and wanting!!! I want to read this new book, 4% Famous by Deborah Schoeneman, "talks about the down and dirty lives of celebs, a malicious, vicious, and delicious read..." ummm... And here's another one, Tabloid Love by Bridget Harrison, and according to Harper's Bazaar, "As a columnist a la Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw, Bridget Harrison divulges her insecurities, gaffes, and triumphs, and after reading, you'll not only root for her, you'll wish she were your best friend." Boy, i miss SATC sooooo much.... I really loved that show, I so loved it that I even did a photoshop of myself as Carrie... See how desperate I am???
Hmmmm... which reminds me, I wonder who I am? A Carrie? A Miranda? A Charlotte? Or maybe a Samantha??? Would you like to do this test??? I know this is all passe, and so last, last year... But what the heck?!! Maybe someone out there's interested in doing the test... http://quiz.ivillage.com/astrology/tests/sexandthecity.htm (just copy and paste this link to your browser)
Don't forget to put your answers on the comment box dear readers!!! Ooops, by the way, I am, 40% Samantha, 30% Charlotte, 20% Miranda, and 10% Carrie... Now you know who I am!!! Mwahahaha....

Permed Lashes or Lash Extensions?

Don't you just wish YOU look naturally beautiful every time you wake up in the morning??? Hmmmm..., play up with your eyes!!!
Noticed my lashes??? Longer in the middle and shorter on the sides... Mwahahaha.... It is because I had them extended last May. I remember it was on a Mother's Day, forgot the exact date, and was refilled on June 18, Father's Day! Actually that is my technique in remembering things... I always do important (yes it is for me!) things on easy to remember dates... Anyway, presently, one by one, the lashes are falling off. Giving me enough time to relax my strained eyelids before I undergo another extension. I am planning to have it done on the 2nd week of August.
The Experience and The Result:
PERMED LASHES
I had my lashes permed last year... It was painless. The effect (curled) lasted up to a month or so... The procedure took about an hour. It was pretty cheap, it was only around 350 Pesos for both eyes... In this procedure, we can still apply mascara, but no-no to lash curler... It was ok during the first week. The only problem I encountered here is, after maybe around 2 weeks, the lashes went to different directions... I don't know why, some are gearing towards the right, some left, they're everywhere!!! I used an eyelash comb to get them straight, but still, they were stubborn... So I had no choice but to let them be! I just waited for them to become normal straight lashes again...
I guess permed lashes didn't solve my problem... (for me only) I have very, very thin lash strands and even though they are curled, you still can't see them because they are ultra fine... Plus, when I want to have real curled lashes, I'd just grab my hair blower, heat up my Shu Uemura Lash Curler and voila!!! Cu-cu-cu-curly!!!!
But for those who were gifted with dark, thick-stranded lashes, (hmmph!!! sour-graping here) I think this procedure is enough... Especially when you don't wear make up... It will naturally lighten up your eyes...
But for my eyes, really a no-no... So I never went back...
LASH EXTENSIONS
The process took about an hour and a half for both eyes... Also painless... I had the upper lashes done only because I wanted a natural look. Plus, I asked for very, very thin strands because I didn't want it to look like "falsies", or a walking doll's eyes! I was really happy with the result, it looked natural and made my eyes look rounder. I have drooping eyes that is why I badly need this procedure. I was told by the professional lash extentionist that I shouldn't wash my face or wet my eyes for a minimum of four hours. I noticed that when I left the clinic, my eyes were strained and my 20/20 vision somehow was changed a little bit... Hey, don't panic, it's just eye strain... It's a common thing if you've undergone the procedure...
The morning after was a little painful... My eyes were harder to open, muwahahahaha, imagine the thingies hanging on each lash!!! I guess when I was sleeping, due to the procedure I had been through, my tear ducts were awakened and activated, so I had lots of eye thing sticked on my lashes' adhesives!!! But it was not a problem taking them off, I just splashed them with water, and they were gone... My lids were a little swollen, which I admit, made my eyes look better.
The nice thing here is getting ready every morning made it a lot faster and easier for me... Imagine, no more eyeliners, curl lash, and mascara... This is excellent for ladies who doesn't wear make up at all... It will make their eyes glow and come to life...
But when you do wear make up, you'll be surprised to see the DRAMA... This is where the art of lash extension comes in... It enhances the color of the eyeshadow, not only does it give life to your eye, but they make them speak!!! Imagine me fluttering my eyes right now while typing this phrase!!! Teehee...
The downside is... well yeah... it is expensive... Ranges from 3T to 5t per session... Includes refills within three weeks only.

My beloved sister (bsm) who lives in Vegas is a professional Lash Extensionist. We, (My other Beloved sister-mss) talked her into it... She has now several clients, and I guess they are all satisfied with the results... And the word of mouth spreads faster than germs!!! Muwahahahaha!!!
How I wish she is just here in the Phils. for our refills and retouches... I myself am thinking about attending a training... Oh well, maybe in due time... And maybe when I'm finished with my current project... One at a time pleassseee...
Now my questions is, would you go for the Permed or the Extended???

House or Grey???

DR. GREGORY HOUSE (Hugh Laurie) is a weird, anti-social doctor, he wouldn’t even talk to his patients if he could get away with it. Dealing with his own constant physical pain, he uses a cane that seems to punctuate his acerbic, brutally honest demeanor. House is a maverick physician whose unconventional thinking and flawless instincts have afforded him a great deal of respect. An infectious disease specialist, he’s a brilliant diagnostician who loves the challenges of the medical puzzles he must solve in order to save lives. House’s roster of medical cases comprises the inexplicable ones other doctors can’t solve, and he has assembled an elite team of young medical experts to help him in his effort to solve these diagnostic mysteries. House’s team includes neurologist DR. ERIC FOREMAN (Omar Epps), who might have a slightly suspect past; immunologist DR. ALLISON CAMERON (Jennifer Morrison); and old-money intensevist DR. ROBERT CHASE (Jesse Spencer). House also has a good friend in DR. JAMES WILSON (Robert Sean Leonard), an oncology specialist with whom he consults on a regular basis.
There’s also some volatile chemistry at work between House and DR. LISA CUDDY (Lisa Edelstein), the Dean of Medicine and hospital administrator. Cuddy is in constant conflict with House over his duties at the hospital, but even she must admit he may be the most brilliant doctor on the staff. With a patient’s life in the balance, House will do whatever it takes in the race against the clock to solve the case before it takes a life, from sending one of his team to break into a patient’s home in search of clues, to attempting a controversial, high-stakes, trial-and-error form of treatment to see how a patient responds. House’s methods may be suspect, but his results are not.

Lately, this series has kept us (DH & I) glued on the tube every night... It's a lot different from Grey's... Of course no doubt I think Grey's the best, because of my Mcdreamy... Teehee... shallow... In my opinion, House is deeper, more aggressive, and actually, more informative... I'm just curious: Are those medical situations featured in the series really happen in US Hospitals??? And were Dr. House's findings really relevant? Because honestly, he makes sense, the way he analyzes the patients' problems, digging the roots and causes of the illnesses... And yes, he did send his interns to the houses of the patients to help him get the actual history, his lifestyle, his food, his hobby, everything about the patient...
I like it... But wouldn't really recommend it... At least you, my dear bloggers, know now, what this series is all about... It is because when my friend BF mentioned this to me two months ago, I was hoping that this is a lot like Grey's, but during the first two episodes, I was really bored... I thought it was too serious... But i don't know, somehow, for 2 weeks, we've been watching it every night and gladly, I'm looking forward every single night for a new and exciting episode.
So how about you guys? Which do you think is better? House or Grey?
I have to go watch the SONA first... (<..> as if???) be right back...

Body Massage or Foot Massage?

Whenever I feel tired, stressed out, or just pissed off, I pamper myself by having a foot massage... Not the whole body massage, dear bloggers... Just heavens my for my feet... I don't know why, but I don't enjoy the feeling of pressing my back, my tummy, my thighs... But I like the head and shoulder massage though... The good thing is, many establishments here include a little back, head, and shoulders to their "foot" services... Or I could just ask the attendant to add my head and shoulders for an extra fee...
It doesn't matter whether it's called foot reflex, foot spa, foot massage, foot therapy, or whatever.... I just want my foot to be touched by human hands!!! I tried the wooden thing, it just didn't work the way i expected, so i tried the machine type, also didn't like the idea of me doing the works... so, as a conclusion, nothing beats the human touch!!! It's the sense of touch that gives me the fulfillment! Teehee, Am I Redundant??!!
I have tried several spas here in Manila... All were, well... "just ok"... I tried the one who claimed to have "the best foot reflexology in the world", it has several branches I believe... But for me, the experience was horrible... It came to a point when I just wanted to kick the person in front of me!!! Her hands were so light, eventhough I told her to make it harder, I realized that she just, well, "wasn't in the mood!!!" Or maybe, that was her maximum energy level already, and in that case, she isn't right for her job!!! And the worst part is, the movement... all she did was press my toes!!! Don't you hate the icky feeling of oil in between your toes and nails and touched by bare hands??? Some good spas use towels to touch the toes to make it more comfortable and less greasy... I don't know, maybe i'm just weird... But that part, (just the toes) I don't want to be touched with bare hands...
I also tried the Xiamen style, but I ended up feeling hurt and bruised, not pampered!!! So i didn't come back...
The one in Subic Yacht Club before, Larossa, (not there anymore), offered a different one... They had this synchronized head and foot massage... One lady touched my upper part, and the other one, lower part... It was kinda good at first, but the whole thing was just weird... I felt that I didn't know what to enjoy, the head or the feet??? Get my point?
Larossa now is being replaced by a new management, and changed its name too... Sorry, forgot the name... But I tried their Scalp and Foot Massage. Ooooh, it was grreeatttt!!!! It was originally in synchronized form, but I insisted on her doing it alone!!! And the price, a lot reasonable... I left the place feeling revved up and re-energized... That's what I wanted... So far, for me, it was the best...
Here in Manila, I like Body Worx and City Lifestyle... No advertisements here... I don't even know who owns them... They're cheap, and fulfilling... I like the rooms, the services, the attendants, the movements... At City Lifestyle, the only thing I didn't like is the TV... They installed television sets on every cubicle. Though there are several signs to keep the volumes down, some people don't really care!!! And the worse thing is, I visit these spas during Sunday afternoons, so all i hear on their TV sets are the voices of the Sunday Showbiz Talk Show Hosts!!! You may know very well who I'm talking about!!! Oh well...
So that's it... Today, it's Sunday... I'm planning to rev up myself... Ooops, almost forgot, too bad, i've already committed myself to be with my "Recreational Shopper" Sister and my ever loving Mother who will buy me (I wish!!!) new home decors, oh, mom, please??
How about you guys, would you go for a body, or a foot massage??? And can you recommend good ones???
Later!!!

A Clean Skin Is A Happy Skin

Why Be Nice to Our Skin?

Like the heart, stomach, and brain, our skin is an organ. In fact, it's the largest organ in our body, but it's still easy to take skin for granted. Unless there's a problem, we may not think about our skin very much. But skin has an important job to do.

Our skin is constantly protecting us. Our skin keeps infections out of our body and keeps us from getting sick. When we take care of our skin, we're helping our skin do its job. And taking care of our skin today will help prevent future problems, like wrinkles and even skin cancer.

Clean Skin Is A Happy Skin

The most important way to take care of our skin is to keep our hands clean, because our hands can spread germs to the skin on other parts of our body.
When washing our hands, we should lather and rub everywhere, including the palms, the wrists, between the fingers, and under the nails. Rinse well, dry thoroughly with a clean towel, and we're done! Alcohol, Anti-bacterial or sanitizing gel, lotion, foam, liquid, and the like, will never, ever replace what mild soap and water can do to cleanse our skin.

If you are worried about pimples, look for a moisturizer that is non-comedogenic (won't cause pimples). With pimples, you might think that scrubbing your face is the way to get rid of them. But actually, your skin will be less likely to break out if you clean it gently, using your fingertips, not a rough washcloth.

Oftentimes, when we use a new kind of soap or other skin product, our skin may get irritated or we may get an allergic reaction. Sales agents and testimonials of these products tell us that "if skin breaks out and produces more acne, it's an indication that the product is working and is removing all the impurities embedded on our skin". A Lie! If you get a rash, a pimple, or if your skin feels itchy, hot, dry, or like it's burning, stop using the product and don't forget that it caused a reaction. You don't want to use it again or buy a product with the same active ingredient.

Many of us have uneven skintones... We really need the help of a "foundation" or a "concealer" to make our skin look smoother, softer, and flawless. Don't worry my dear friends, it's common... Because of the pollution, the radiation, we really can't control skin reactions... That's why, all we have to do is just take care of it... And guess what?! Even Hollywood actresses have skin problems too!!!

Charlize Theron

Renee Zellwegger

Cameron Diaz

So please dear bloggers, don't fret too much if you have irritated skin... We all have different skin types but we do have the same problem - pimples!!! And the first way to treat this is to clean it gently, not vigorously!!! Let's all make our skin happy!!! Is your skin happy???

What kind of a shopper are you?

I believe that shoppers can apparently be classified as: recreational shoppers and non-recreational shoppers. "Recreational shoppers, as its name suggests, are people who shop for fun. The "non-recreational" type shop only when they need to. According to a survey by an international consumer market research group, the highest percentage of "recreational shoppers" are in the Asia-Pacific. The No.1 countries are Hong Kong and Indonesia, both with 93% of the people surveyed who shop for fun. The U.S. and U.K. have 68% and 34% recreational shoppers respectively. The survey results actually makes sense. Living in a city, such as Hong Kong, there are really little one does in ones' free time. Whenever I am in Hong Kong, 90% of the time I go out (non-work related) is for shopping. By shopping, I could mean all kinds of shopping -window shopping, grocery shopping, target shopping etc. Because afterall, if I don't go shopping, what else is there fun to do in the city? The conclusion? It is logical that there are more recreational shoppers in city since there is less to do (and a lot more shops and products to choose from.) So let me ask, are you a recreational, or a non-recreational shopper?

McDreamer loves McDreamy

One reason why I chose the name McDreamer is about McDreamy... I am madly in love with him!!! Can't wait to see G.A.'s 3rd season in September... The thing is, i would have to wait weekly to download each episode... The waiting is too agonizing!!!

Hey... this was his look way back 80's...
Teehee.... who would've thought he could make it bigger when he age???

I also love Burke (Isaiah Washington) and Cristina (Sandra Oh)... Burke seems so intelligent, kind, gentle, serious, and very affectionate. Cristina is independent, a little self-centered, strong-willed, and funny! Opposites do attract!!!

My friend JCC really loves Burke, not for the same reasons, but for a different one... Uhhmmm, what could it be??? She said he seemed to have a huge _ E _ _ _!!!! Hey, what are you guys thinking??? Burke has a huge HEART!!!

Sigh.... can't wait to see the premiere... Anyway...

Let's put this aside, I want you guys to see this... The new Louis Vuitton Damier Azure Line:

Weeeee.... I know, i know, your saliva glands are triggered!!! It's coming out in September too... Hey, good things comin' our way... But i'd still go for the G.A.... Gives me chills everytime I hear the soundtrack... And it's my ringtone... muwahahaha... cheezzzyyyyy.... Plus, i wouldn't be hurting my "too much suffering" credit cards by downloading!!!
Oooops, almost forgot.... Got a lot of comments about the "social-climber" issue... Well, maybe the majority thinks that this is "negative"... Yeah, they're right, but, there is also a "positive" side behind that "negative" perception... Or let's put it this way, there is a Good Social Climber (envious, obsessed), and an Evil Social Climber (gold diggers, users, et al.)... I hope i belong to the Good ones, mwahahahaha!!!
I consider myself as a social climber because I desire to be "in", I have a longing to "belong", I dream to be "one of them". Unfortunately, I don't have what it takes to be one... You have to have the "thing"!!! Which is, undescribable... You don't have to be rich, you don't have to be pretty, you don't need guts, and mostly, you don't have to be an actor/actress to be one! You just gotta have IT!!! Dang!!!! What is IT??!!! Teehee... To cut it short, I just want to be seen at the back of Preview, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Mega, etc... Yep girl, dream on!!!
Guys, thanks for all your comments... JCC, BSM, Fat and Thin Girl, thanks for dropping by... Hope to hear more from everyone too!!!

Saw "The Break Up" and "Failure To Launch" last night. The first one is definitely a thumbs down... It was categorized as "Romantic Comedy" whereas it could have been "Tragic Comedy"... I didn't like the fighting, getting even scenes... I don't know, maybe its just too shallow for me.. Plus, i don't like J.A.'s chin, it's too small! So, will i pay to see it again, ehhemm, let me rephrase it, shall i recommend this to my friends??? Hell no...

Failure to Launch is better, but still, it has its flaws... I can describe it as "childish". Being bitten by a chipmunk, a dolphin, playing wargames... a bit unbelievable too for 30-ish men... But i loved SJP's look and wardrobe, including her accessories!!! Loved the scenes, not the story...
Same question, same answer... But if you're interested at SJP's look, you can check them out, just don't blame me if you get pissed off!

Are those scrotums?

I love these medallions... Wish I could make those also... But not today, as in now... Maybe next year... I still need to look for suppliers...

Sooo cute!!!

The Art of Entertaining

Table settings, place cards, coasters, menus, they thrill me... sounds cheesy but it's true... whenever i eat out, whether at a friends house, or "starred" restaurants or what they call "a hole in the wall" eateries, i always look at the presentation. I believe that proper presentation is a way of expressing how you value the "eater". Is it not?? Probably because whenever I host a party, I want my guests to think that I really worked hard for their presence... That's how I value their time and effort to be in my party... That's just it... So guys, don't ever think that I'm to impress you or show off... I just want you to feel how sincere I am to welcome you to my party. Hmmmm.... What lead me to this issue??? Friday night, I was invited to an intimate dinner at my friends' house. The hosts were TRV and MCH... Joined by MG and AIH, my BS, and my BBIL, ooops, almost forgot, my BH (beloved husband)... The couple prepared a Japanese Dinner that night. For appetizers, we had Golden Mushrooms wrapped in Bacon and California Maki... Then came the first course, Sukiyaki, followed by the second course, Katsudon... For dessert, we had Estrelle's caramel cake... Oh, and that cake is personalized for my BS's bday... See what I mean?? These people even remembered to put her name on the cake!!! I know, I know, you guys think i'm too shallow coz' those are just simple Japanese food, but the fact that these people thought of it and prepared for it, made me feel so special... Funny you think i'm so pathetic!!!! This girl has never been invited to a "real and festive" dinner!!! boohoo... too bad... but that's ok... at least i get to appreciate simple things...

A Typical Session Night

Once a week, we get together with our friends for our Session Nights. It has to be on a weekday because we are all "tied up" during weekends... We always hold these session nights at our BM's (Beloved Mom) place, coz she never ran out of "instant pica-pica." I'll just look up at her pantry and freezer, and alas! Instant Party!!!!These group of friends are the "closest" ones to our family. They are friends of my BBIL (Beloved brother in-law) who became our friends too, and our friend's friends... Anyway, they are the kindest people I've ever met in the world!!! They are VF and BF. Though sometimes, we are joined by some "cool" friends too, like JG, MG.... and many others....
Jeez, guess what??? Last week, i made a testament... I carefully studied who my friends are, whose company I usually enjoy, whose advices I always follow, and whose character I admire... I ended up with 3 persons.... I enjoy the company of PDL, I always follow the advice of JC, and i admire the character of BF....
I am so lucky to have these 3 people to help me become a beautiful person...
So much for the drama....
Here's what we had last night on our typical session night.... Pork BBQ, care of Joe Bob, Grilled Tuna, Spicy Kikiam, Chinese Chorizo, Left over Lechon from Bulacan, and Fettuccine in Creamy Tomato Sauce with Shrimps. I made the Pasta, the rest, came from BM's (Beloved Mommy) freezer...
Heyyyy.... forgot to tell ya.... got my new phone...
I've had PDA for 2 years, from treo 600, to 650, then to BENQ, got sick of it, and traded it to Motorola Razr V3x.... boyyyy I'm amused!!!! i was literally jumping when our supplier told us that a new color has just arrived, and its pink!!! That's a hot one!!!! I hurriedly fixed my BENQ and put back all its accessories to its original box, and i tell yah, most of them are still brand new... never even touched the earphones!!! The only old ones are the phone and the charger! Proudly I am a neat user and I give courtesy to the next user... (that also goes to toilet seats) You lucky fella!!!
See the swarovskis? heheheh... I have a feeling i got sooo pissed off with the masculine features of the PDA which made me boost all my femininity to my new phone... After all, that's who I am... a feminine biatch!!! yikesss...

Beloved Sis' Birthday

Alright, alright, here it is... I am now starting my own blog, as promised to everyone... and to make it historical, my first blog shall include my dear sister's birthday dinner. My BS, beloved sister, is soooo close to me, that sometimes people don't understand why we're always together. Actually, we used to be three (triplets) inseparable sisters, but one has to go far away to be with her family. It was hard at first, but we got used to it... I had no choice though, I had to stick with what's left here with me... Hahahaha... Anyway, i have to be nice, it's her birthday!!!
We had a sumptuous dinner with our dearest cousins. Actually, it's just one of our get togethers once every month. These people are so dear to us, we have to see each other at least once a month to update each other, and the ultimate reason of all, to have a major, mega "chismisan" just about everything, name it, actresses, actors, politicians, businessmen, wanne bes... everything!!!!
Dinner was at the Spiral, at the newly renovated Philippine Plaza. The food is great, ambience is perfect... BS was given extra privileges to have her bday at the exclusive room, where people won't hear us talking cheap!!! hahahaha....
Ummm, ummm, ummm... Look at these sinful pleasures!!! Hahaha!!!
